IHRC EDUCATION FEDERATION
The IHRC Africa Region has a system of honours and awards so Africans can be recognised for excellence, achievement or meritorious service and contributions to our society. Honours help define, encourage and reinforce national aspirations, ideals and standards by identifying role models. The IHRC give honours to recognise, celebrate and say thank you to those who make a difference, those who achieve their best and those who serve others.
This is the motivation for the establishment of the IHRC GRAND STAND CHAMBERS. It began in 2016, with the creation of the "Order of the Pride of Africa and Nelson Mandela Medal for a Long Walk to Freedom", to recognise service to the nation or humanity. The IHRC Grand Stand Chambers is an African centre that maintain records of IHRC honours, awards, decorations and citations etc., These are conferments adjudged as free of patronage or political influence. Only IHRC Coordinators/Special Envoys can nominate a personality for an honour along the accepted criteria.
The IHRC Grand Stand Chambers has a Governing Board that considers when to hold investitures and the person to be conferred by IHRC Africa Region. The Governing Board therefore is empowered to establish the need, scope and criteria for a IHRC Honours or Awards taking into consideration IHRC values. All nominations are submitted to the Director/Ambassador of the IHRC Africa Region HQ who is the authority to forward the names to the Governing Board. This structure ensures proper censorship and endorsement by IHRC. The IHRC Grand Stand Chambers presently works on holding six reputable honours on annual basis as an institution honouring the achievements of individuals in Peace Promotion and Human Rights Protection.
Also regarded as an African shrine commemorating the names of outstanding Africans in Human Rights, the IHRC Grand Stand Chambers has an Executive Head for it's Governing Board - the High Priest.
