IHRC Commissioner in the Middle East receives list of proposed members and work plan / مفوّض اللجنة

قدم عضو المجلس التنفيذي في الشرق الأوسط للّجنة الدولية رامي فواز لائحته المقترحة لإنشاء فرع لبنان الى مفوّض الشرق الأوسط السفير الدكتور هيثم ابو سعيد ضمن الأطر القانونية المعتمدة في الأصول والأعراف.

وجرى بحث في البرامج المنوي القيام بها لملاقاة البنود والتقارير التي تعمل عليها اللجنة كمراقب في الشأن المحلي، بُغية تقديم العون وللجهات المعنية لتسريع الملفات العالقة.

وأشار المفوّض الى أن لبنان يُعتبر من الدول الشرق أوسطية المتقدمة في مجال تطبيق الشرعة الدولية برغم كل الأحداث الأليمة المحيطة به، مع الأخذ بالإعتبار وجوب العمل الكثيف على بعض الأمور العالقة من خلال التعاون في المجالات المطلوبة على مستوى الدولي.

وإختتم اللقاء بعرض شامل للعناوين الملحة، على ان يبدأ العمل بها، بعد الإنتهاء من الإجراءات القانونية المطلوبة والتنسيق مع أعضاء التنفيذيين في الهيئة الإستشارية.

Rami Fawaz, a member of the Executive Council of the Middle East, presented his proposed list for the establishment of the Lebanon Branch to the Middle East Commissioner, Ambassador Haitham Abu Said, within the framework of the legal frameworks adopted in the assets and traditions.

The programs planned for meeting the items and reports on which the Committee acts as an observer in the local affairs were discussed with a view to assisting the concerned parties in speeding up the outstanding issues.

The Commissioner pointed out that Lebanon is considered one of the most advanced Middle Eastern countries in implementing the International Law despite all the painful events surrounding it, taking into account the need to work intensively on some outstanding issues through cooperation in the areas required at the international level.

The meeting ends with a comprehensive presentation of the urgent addresses, to be started after completion of the necessary legal procedures and coordination with the executive members of the advisory body.
