A Courtesy/Familiarization visit to familiarize and also to insightfully intimate the justice ministry in Mauritania on the mission, vision, activities, and programs of the Mauritanian office of the International Human Rights Commission Geneva, Switzerland held yesterday 1st June 2020.
The coordinator/special envoy of the IHRC Mauritania, Judge Aly Daya Amar received executive approval from the Director/Ambassador of the Africa Region HQ of the IHRC H.E Dr. Tivlumun Innocent Ahure to raise the issues of promotion of peace, ensuring good leadership and conflicts management with the Mauritania ministry of justice.
Dr. Ahure’s instructions called on Judge Amar to outrightly state that the IHRC in Mauritania will partner with the ministry to promote peaceful coexistence, intercommunal dialogue and support good leadership in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The extra agreement concerned partnering in the campaign for arbitration for promoting peace and supporting good leadership.
The Honourable Attorney General and Minister of Justice thanked the IHRC Mauritania, Africa Region HQ for deeming this visit necessary as it availed the opportunity to tap from the vast wealth of experience in various spheres of arbitration and conflicts management of Judge Aly Daya Amar.
