“There is no military solution to #Libya. This is not a cliché, it is a fact, and it is high time for those who have harbored this illusion to open their eyes and adjust themselves to this reality”, @GhassanSalame said during his briefing to the @UN Security Council today.

.@UN Special Representative for #Iraq @JeanineHennis urged the Security Council for continued, wide-based international support “to ensure that Iraq leaves its violent past behind, to ensure that Iraq does not slip back into the turmoil from which it so recently emerged.”
